The following table provides details about the operations that are available in Modern POS and Cloud POS. Other operations are part of the main POS application, and are invoked either from on-screen buttons or as part of other workflows or processes. Users can then select the buttons to invoke the operations and perform their function.
Many operations can be added to buttons in the POS button grid. Operations are configured and managed in the Dynamics 365 Commerce back office. Most actions that users take in the point of sale (POS) are considered operations.
